A simple way to help make new clothing and linens more colorfast - prerinse them in a vinegar and cold water solution. Using a ratio of two-thirds cup vinegar to one gallon of cold water, let items soak for up to fifteen minutes. Then wash them according to the manufacturer's instructions. [Only recommended for items that are machine washable.] |
